I can’t grasp why having a sense of what it’s like to say see red is any more of a “hard” problem for scientific exploration than seeing colors like red was. Rebecca has apparently been bitten by the “information” bug that is going around I don’t see any evidence that things (biological or otherwise) literally contain some-thing called information. Can anyone explain to me what it would mean to have “intrinsic” properties of materials that aren’t structural?
