Aren’t we post-post-structuralist these days?
unfortunately that seems to be the largely unconscious (and often denied) trend, tho I have yet to see an upfront/principled stand that can explain how such structures/objects are transmitted/established and or maintained without reviving some ghost-algorithm-in-the-machine like nonsense along the lines of viral-Ideas/memes/etc.
my guess is that too many people learned post-structuralist grammars without really working thru structuralisms and so have fallen ‘back’ into that realm of totems and taboos, so many worlds better left behind still haunt us as we make our ways thru the ruins. to mangle a phrase we were never post-modern.
